DEACONESS ONYEGECHA N. OFURUM
Deaconess Onyegecha Ofurum is from Umuororonjo Owerri, in Owerri Municipal Council of Imo State. She attended Christ Anglican Church Primary School, Owerri and proceeded to Owerri Girls Secondary School, Owerri where she obtained a Division One in West African School Certificate in 1978.
She obtained a Nigerian Certificate in Education in Chemistry/Physics from the Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State in 1982 and continued her tertiary education at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where she obtained a BSc. in Education Chemistry in 1986 and MEd. in Science Education in 1989. In 2017 she obtained an MSc in Science Education for Sustainability from the London South Bank University, United Kingdom.
She taught Chemistry, Physics and Integrated Science in several colleges before her current appointment in the National Business and Technical Examinations Board, Benin City, as a Senior Test Administration Officer in 1995. In her career in NABTEB, she has worked in the Departments of Examinations Administration, Examinations Development, Information and Communication Department and South East Zonal Co-ordinator.
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administrators of Nigeria (FICA).
